The quietly undulating slopes of the southern part of (Jaintia Hills) are just so gorgeous that they cannot be described in words. Only those who have visited this unexplored destination have been banqueted in incomprehension of the exceptionality of the loveliness of Jaintia Hills. The hills can fully appreciate the valley’s panoramic splendor. The country side of the English would be not as much beautiful than the Letein Valley as it sways like a dancing valley that is placed in each sides of the Kwai River in Nongkhilieh Elakas and in Sutnga of (Jaintia Hills) district.
This region,is better called as (Letein Valley) can be aptly viewed from the plateau on which (Shnongrim village) in (Nongkhlieh Elaka) is placed. Shnongrim is effortlessly reachable from the village of Sutnga, that is (16-km) off NH-44 and is very well linked with a beneficial-tarred road. Letein valley appears as a fine irrigated and well inclined, never-ending golf-course also with flat green turf, beguiling glens and blissful enjoyable dales which vanishes into the secluded fog of the sphere under a lucid and blue sky.
